Butterbeans Soap Company

Hi, I’m Heather Bowman a full time wife, mother to one, and a natural soap junkie. My son and I are also eczema suffers, this is why I started creating soap in my kitchen. (well sorta, I got a soap making kit for Christmas which i had hinted at wanting). My first batch was a calendula infused, no scent, simple batch for sensitive skin. It took me hours to make that first 5lb batch, now I can do it in 45 minutes. That was all it took – I’m now a soap making addict.

I no longer wanted to buy soaps that included ingredients that I was not able to pronounce or let alone know what they really did. In January 2014 I started making soap and my theory is less is best. I’m very proud my soaps contain four to five natural food grade ingredients . Olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, sustainable palm oil, and therapeutic grade essential oils.

Now, to the important part. How did I come up with Butterbeans Soap as my name? My husband helped! Butterbeans is the nickname my mom gave my son when he was a baby. It just stuck.  We loved the nickname so I thought it would be awesome to name my soaps, Butterbeans Soap.
